Girls' Night!:Uncork & Create
My sister-in-law came up with the idea for a bunch of us ladies to have a girls' night and go to Uncork & Create, and it was sooooo fun!
Basically, Uncork & Create is an art class where you can bring your choice of beverage and snacks if you'd like. We brought a few bottles of red and white wine, appetizers like quesadillas and hummus, and some sweets. Honestly, it's whatever you'd like. One group brought craft beer and really had a great time!
The fee was about $45 and you choose the event based on which painting they're working on that day.
You can use whatever colors you like, and the picture is actually just a guide to give you some inspiration. I went a bit more "Starry Night" by Van Gogh, and was told that mine was "so moody and dark" and looked like I was a tad hormonal! Hahaha!
It was a lot of fun watching people's reactions as they worked; there were a few who took things super seriously, while others were calm and seemed to be totally legit artists just coming to show us up (hehe!).
The teacher kept encouraged us to have a good time and drink more of our wine or beer if we felt stressed. Our group just sipped and giggled the entire time, making ridiculous observations along the way...Think, "I love the way you use that pink. I see what you did there!"
By the end of the night, the wine was gone!
I would definitely recommend checking this out if you're in the Charleston or Huntington, WV area, or if you have something similar to it where you live. They have children's classes too, as well as private parties. We had a wonderful time, and I'm looking forward to the next Girls' Night Fiasco!
